Getting people involved in relative small areas.
Identified barriers:
- Lack of tech/data and people
- False commitment
- Lack of genuine interests
- Lack of sustainability
Rural areas get ignored easily, since they are less relevant, citizen role undervalued. No clear responsibility.
Use case: areal photography is missing in certain rural areas. We need the stuff.

- What are the other communities to amplify local activities?
Going back to action plan: define issue, find a common problem/solution. Identify trans-local network.
- Data as a means, not an end.
- Then you start involving other (government) stakeholders…
- Then articulate theory of change…
- Standards – sustainablility…
- Stakeholder mapping – defining access and dependencies…
- Workshop to test prototypes…
- Pivot/improve local activity – value proposition…
