Description
ClinicalTrials.gov is a service of the U.S. National Institutes of Health and currently lists 197,314 studies with locations in all 50 U.S. states and in 190 countries. It is maintained by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Information on ClinicalTrials.gov is provided and updated by the sponsor or principal investigator of the clinical study. Studies are generally submitted to the Web site (that is, registered) when they begin, and the information on the site is updated throughout the study. In some cases, results of the study are submitted after the study ends.

Description

Description
The Cochrane Schizophrenia Group’s Register contains 13542 coded studies (as of February 2012). The register is maintained on Meerkat 1.6. This version of Meerkat stores references as studies. When an individual reference is selected through a search, all references which have been identified as the same study are also selected.

Description
The EU Clinical Trials Register contains information on interventional clinical trials on medicines conducted in the European Union (EU), or the European Economic Area (EEA) which started after 1 May 2004. The Register also provides information about older paediatric trials covered by an EU marketing authorisation. This is the database used by national medicines regulators for data related to clinical trial protocols. The data on the results of these trials are entered into the database by the sponsors themselves and are published in this Register once the sponsors have validated the data. The EU clinical trials register has been a primary registry in the World Health Organization (WHO’s) Registry Network since September 2011 and is a WHO Registry Network data provider. It is also available on the WHO International Clinical Trials Registry Platform External link.

Description
The DrugBank database is a bioinformatics and cheminformatics resource that combines detailed drug (i.e. chemical, pharmacological and pharmaceutical) data with comprehensive drug target (i.e. sequence, structure, and pathway) information. The database contains 7759 drug entries including 1602 FDA-approved small molecule drugs, 161 FDA-approved biotech (protein/peptide) drugs, 89 nutraceuticals and over 6000 experimental drugs. Additionally, 4300 non-redundant protein (i.e. drug target/enzyme/transporter/carrier) sequences are linked to these drug entries. Each DrugCard entry contains more than 200 data fields with half of the information being devoted to drug/chemical data and the other half devoted to drug target or protein data.
