The CKAN Ecosystem Catalog now lists 1,300+ CKAN data portals worldwide :tada:
This data helps us better understand the CKAN ecosystem. Explore it on the Insights tab.
A big boost came from the excellent open dataportals-registry by @Dateno @ibegtin , which helped us discover 700+ additional active portals (CC BY 4.0).
Thanks to the Dateno team for maintaining such a valuable open resource!

Thanks again to @ibegtin for reaching out and allowing us to leverage the DateNo registry!

I’m hopeful with the planned ckanext-ecosystem extension, we can actively engage these sites beyond just registering them - things like proactive security/upgrade notices; shared High Value Reference Data, Federated Search, detailed extension metadata, etc.

Thanks for sharing this update, @a5dur, and congrats on this huge advance! For those following along, this means that the number of sites cataloged in the Ecosystem Catalog has effectively doubled!
