After attending an Open Data Law and Licensing training session, I have a new found appreciation for just how complex copyright can be, especially when it comes to “sweat of the brow” and data provided by third parties combined with data collected internally within our organisation.
I’m keen to hear how others assess copyright in relation to the publication of open data. Is there a standard set of questions you ask custodians before publishing open data?
