The next Open Knowledge Edinburgh meet-up will be hosted at CodeBase, 38 Castle Terrace, Edinburgh EH3 9DZ, at 5.30 pm, Thursday 5th May 2016. The event is sponsored by Urban Tide.
The main theme of this meet-up is how to collect, curate and publish open data that means something to ordinary citizens in Edinburgh. Citizen-centred data is meaningful if it enables change. This could be change in the decisions made by individuals, or change that is brought about as a result of collective actions. As well as having a small number of lightning talks, we want the event to stimulate discussion and planning on ways to connect open data with individuals, communities and civic organisations in Edinburgh.
