OSPARK Bootcamp: Outreach and Visibility for Open Research Infrastructure

Sharing this for folks working with CKAN in research data and open research contexts, as well as those involved in communications and outreach across the CKAN ecosystem.

OSPARK is currently accepting applications for its fall bootcamp, which is focused on outreach and marketing for Open Research initiatives, services, and infrastructures. The program combines a six-week online cohort with a two-day workshop in Zurich, with participants working directly on outreach for their own initiatives along the way.

Participation is free, and a limited number of travel stipends are available. Applications are open through August 15 (or August 2 for early applicants - particularly those requiring a specialized visa).

In addition to wanting to share this, I will admit that I am also curious whether visibility and outreach are challenges others working with CKAN-based research infrastructures are thinking about? If so, I’d love to hear what’s worked for you. Even a small tip might be useful to someone who can’t make it to Zurich this fall.
