Hey all!
I wanted to share news of an upcoming series of workshops hosted by the Center for Open Science on behalf of the GREI Initiative. It’s titled “The Evolving Data Sharing Ecosystem: Revisiting the Role of Generalist Repositories” and is intended to spark some new discussion across the GREI and repository communities regarding a host of emergent issues and questions, including:
“What does it really take for data to be findable and reusable across repositories? Is data sharing translating into citations, reuse, and recognition, and how can that impact be measured and credited? What is “AI-ready” data starting to mean in practice, and where are researchers already seeing generalist repositories play a role? And when a project’s data spans a generalist repository and a discipline-specific one, what does good collaboration between the two actually look like?”
That’s an ambitious agenda, so fittingly they’ve distributed events across two days - November 18 and 19. You can check out the full agenda and register here.
