About integration demand: on OK Brasil and others, the email list is like an “democratic admin console” of the organization, and “SMTP console”
We can’t use Discuss (even do a serious test) without this feature.

I think it only applies on thread-level, so when you reply via email, you add a new post to the thread; you don’t necessarily reply to an individual post. You may be able to @ reply usernames tho.

Hmm, not as useful as I thought but still it’s petty good given the other features.

Is there a way to create new topics this way or is just impossible to do because of code.

the other requirements for mailing lists: I’m working on it :).
