I’m trying to create a map of users in this growing community directory similar to the one found on our current Labs site. It would be based on information submitted in a user’s public profile. Does anyone know of good, easy way to do this within Discourse?

@danfowler, I like the idea but didn’t find much in https://meta.discourse.org apart from…
https://meta.discourse.org/t/what-is-the-most-awesome-plugin-for-discourse-that-does-not-yet-exist/31/152
and you can use an embed code from google maps that shows a static map
or an interactive one
It’s a start (maybe?)

Would be nice if it wasn’t built on Google but on OpenStreetMap, perhaps Mapbox.com. Open Data!

That’s totally the idea. Do you have any Discourse plugin programming experience?
may you read Locations Plugin - #429 - plugin - Discourse Meta
That could be helpful for you too.
Completely missed this and did not get a notification until now.
Thanks! And welcome by the way!
