[June 14] Open Data conference in Switzerland

Friends, colleagues and like-minded activists from around the network are warmly welcome to join us in a month for the annual conference organized by our chapter, taking place on June 14 in Switzerland.

Opendata.ch/2016 is our annual event convened around the issues of Open Data in Switzerland. This year will see a more diverse, dynamic, brighter and better Open Data Conference than ever before. Join us on June 14 at the historic Casino de Montbenon in Lausanne to shape the national conversation among business executives, politicians, public officals, researchers and open data enthusiasts from all over Switzerland through a program that includes (among others):

  • Nuria Gorrite, Senior Civil Servant of the Canton of Vaud
  • Marcel SalathĂ©, Associate Professor & Academic Director EPFL
  • Denis Gursky, CEO and Founder of Socialboost
  • Anja Wyden Guelpa, Chancellor of State at Republic and Canton of Geneva
  • Simon Chignard, Data Editor @ Etalab, author on Datanomics and Open Data
  • Guillaume Leborgne, Director of Transparency and Open Data at SNCF
  • Joshua Goldstein, CEO of the Department of Better Technology (DOBT)

Presentations will be in English and French, and there will also be an unconference with the possibility to run spontaneous workshops and presentations. Tickets available at Eventbrite, please let me know if you need any assistance.

We have announced a call for proposals for an unconference in parallel to the main track for participants of our upcoming annual event in Switzerland. Please submit your suggestions here or just give me a shout if you’ve got a good idea about topics or ways to stimulate creative groupthink.
