Open Data Connect - Brisbane 3 September 2015

Open Data Connect is the first of our quarterly social and networking events organised by [ODI Queensland]

Help build a vibrant community of open data friends in Brisbane. This is an informal, after-work opportunity to connect with new and old friends in the open data community, catch up over a drink, and hear a brief talk on an interesting topic.

Everyone is invited to attend this first Connect event, but numbers are limited. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.

Register here

Winners from GovHack Brisbane will be presenting and holding a panel discussion and I’ll be talking about the Open Data Census.

Hope to see you there.

We had a great night talking Open Data and playing ping pong

I forgot to mention the key messages from the GovHack teams to data publishers:

  • No PDF
  • Use data standards so we can compare and combine data
  • Use developer tools to make it easy to understand your API (e.g. Swagger.io)

Thanks to @maree and ODI Queensland for hosting the event.
