The European Commission is currently exploring a new Data Act for the European Union.

Our focus is squarely on non-personal data of public interest. That said, the Commission is more interested in B2B transfers, nascent digital markets, and so forth.
Some specific issues we raised:
- we pushed pretty hard on what we regard as abuse of public disclosure within the European single electricity market, see paragraphs 11, 39–41
- point 9 (page 4) seeks legal analysis by the Commission on license compatibilities and figure 1 (page 12) provides some context
