For the first time ever, there will be an rOpenSci hackathon in Australia! The event will be held on Thursday and Friday (April 21-22) in sunny Brisbane, at the Microsoft Innovation Centre, with some welcome drinks on the Wednesday evening for those that can attend.
This event brings together scientists, developers, and open data enthusiasts from academia, industry, government, and non-profit organisations to get together for a few days and hack on various projects.
Past projects have related to open data, data visualization, data publication and open science using R.
