I noticed in New license request: OGDL-Taiwan-1.0 [SPDX-Online-Tools] · Issue #1112 · spdx/license-list-XML · GitHub a SPDX ID request for OGDL-Taiwan-1.0 and was reminded that several other licenses that we’ve approved don’t have SPDX IDs, or our materials use a slightly different identifier.
Made a start at alignment on the conforming licenses page in add SPDX IDs by mlinksva · Pull Request #209 · okfn/opendefinition · GitHub
There are certainly other places, but that’s the most visible one.
A strong plea for one single consistent complete set of license identifiers for data-capable licenses in regular use. R.
ISO/IEC 5230:2020
The SPDX identifiers are now part of the new ISO/IEC specification indicated. The official PDF is expensive but the following document is “functionally identical”:
- Joint Development Foundation (2020). OpenChain Specification — Version 2.1. Joint Development Foundation. This Specification is functionally identical to ISO/IEC 5230:2020. Licensed under Creative Commons CC‑BY‑4.0.
