Hi everyone,

At Open Knowledge International and as part of the Frictionless Data project, we are constantly thinking about streamlining processes and making it easier for you to adopt the software we develop for use in your work with data.

In the recent past, our team carried out subsequent iterations on the original Data Packagist app, in a bid to make it easier to collate data resources and create data packages easily. The outcome of this work is the Data Package Creator, which boasts a revamped user interface and additional functionality to streamline the data package creation process.

I’ve used it on many occasions, and it’s rarely failed my “small data” needs. While being supportive of the great progress being made on the Open Data Editor, it would be good for us to not completely lose sight of the case for this kind of lightweight, offline-first, single page app.
