Noticed a few places in/on the OD repo/site where contact/discussion venue needed to be updated from list to forum. In so doing noticed that License Approval Process - Open Definition - Defining Open in Open Data, Open Content and Open Knowledge says okfn-discuss and other fora will be pinged as part of the license approval process. I think this is a good idea, but am:
- pretty sure it never happens
- unsure okfn-discuss is any longer best way to reach broader OK community
- feel that ideally other licensing expert communities would be contacted, most obviously https://lists.opensource.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/license-discuss and perhaps http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/cc-community
I suppose 1 & 3 would be up to new chair to drive. 2 would be good to know in general…?
