The menu is getting really big. You can remove subcategories from the menu.

OK I’ve turned this on to trial it for a while. If you do/don’t like it comment here.
The biggest impact of the change (apart from a simplified menu) is the local groups category format.
I had to tidy up some icons. I didn’t add icons for Scotland and England. There’s a UK icon you can add if that’s not offensive.

where is that settings?
I’m desperately searching for it because it is quite essential for us but I cannot find it any where.
